There is a package called k3b which is based on growisofs and provides
the GUI interface. My experience is the same as Rob's in that it
will burn a full DVD of data in 12 to 15 minutes. It *is* necessary
to check the "Create Udf structures" under one of its menus to get
it to work (properly) for DVDs - under Mandrake 10.0 that checkbox
is not checked by default.
I have two LG 4040B's which do all the DVD formats including DVD-RAM.
They work like a charm!
