Re: Mark IV operation under linux

Chris,

Thank you. Please don't do any work at this time.

My conclusion is that it might be just as hard for me to get the old system
running under dosemu as to get Rob's system running under linux. This is
where I eventually want to go, so why go to an intermediate step unless it
is easy? Dosemu does not look very easy since I need to do I/O and
graphics to make the old QBasic system run.

The current plan unless everyone advises against it is to go for Rob's
system. Note that I now have a little perl experience so it is no longer
so formidable to work with Rob's perl control script. I think all I need
to do is to get Rob's "C" programs and then modify his perl scripts for my
use. A first look indicates that he has done everything I need.

I also now have a test box that allows debugging a program without having
to look at stars. This is a big change and will greatly reduce the time
required.

Any more advice from experts? Or opinions from those who don't choose to
call themselves experts?
