astronomical software library

  In the course of working on some code to check the
dates and times in the Mark IV database, I came across
a library of routines for astronomical work which others
might find useful:

           http://libnova.sourceforge.net/

  I was able to put together a program in just a few
hours which provides asteroid positions to within 5 or 
10 arcseconds.  The "examples" packaged with this
library are very handy.
