Meanwhile, Back at the Ranch

Data just keeps piling up. About 240 CDs worth this month. My guess without
loading all the cds and counting is 18,000 images. I notice about a 2/1
variation in the number of stars measured night to night while the number of
good images stays the same. I assume this means that clearer nights produce
more faint stars. There are always a lot of things that it would be nice to
do to check on the data.

Sometime back, there was a record night for the year of 1.5 million pairs.

Today the hardware store produced something that might fix the dome. We shall
see if Mike can fix the dome tomorrow. The dome sticks up off the top of the
house and there is no place to stand to work around it. A lesson. If you
put a dome in your roof put some work space around it. Some day you might
need it. You can't do everything from inside.
