IMAP Solution?
I took this group's good advice and signed up for an IMAP service provider.
Not having any good way to do it I chose something called EvenMail at $49.95
a year for a service that provides 2GB of storage. This seemed like a
reasonable price and was competitive to other services I found.
There were several flaps getting the service started. It rejected messages
because it decided I had -0.99 GB of available storage when I had signed up
for 2 GB. E-mail messages to EvenMail straightened this out pretty quickly,
they seemed to do something in about 2 hours - not always the right thing.
After a couple of passes it seems to be working.
OK, the kicker is that I just timed how long it takes for a message to appear
in my account. 43 minutes! They must have scribes there in India passing
papers on rafts down the Ganges!
Does anyone know what I should expect for response?
