Writing CDs

I seem to spend most of my life writing CDs.  I just discovered that the 
August archive disks are bad.  Sigh!  So it is write 10 more CDs.   I suspect 
that I set the write speed wrong by mistake.   The writer in queston is a 
nice new DVD/CD combo writer.  There is no clue anywhere on it as to what the 
write speed might be.  I suppose that it should be sensed automatically.

Fortunately this drive was only used for the August set, so I don'e have to 
redo the 30 Cds I wrote yeaterday for the September data.
