Re: EF Eri
Ok, as Michael has pointed out EF Eri is in the
southern sky. This really points out the need
to get a TASS system up and running in someplace
like Australia or South Africa.
Alternatively, the article did suggest that such
systems were rare but not *that* rare. That suggests
that there may be one or more in the northern sky which
may be available to monitor using existing TASS technology
if they can be identified.
The question would be precisely *how* one identifies
such systems and whether TASS has the sensitivity to
monitor them on a long term basis? (They were using
*very* big scopes to draw their conclusions.)
However, in astronomy, both quantity and quality have
their respective seats at the table and so there may
be a seat for TASS as well.
