I sort of agree. I use ssh with public keys and such on all my boxes 
but security should always be proportional to the threat. For example, 
a Wiki allows anyone to vandalize the crap out of a website but it 
almost never happens. Unless you have a beowulf cluster for the script 
kiddies, you would probably leave the thing wide open without much of a 
concern.

Just a counterpoint.
