Re: The Prize #7

Tom et al.,

This looks good in that I would like to propose a methodology for getting
close to achieving your goal but am not in a position to write the software
that would put it into effect.

However, after searching the TASS website and downloading all manner of
TN's, software, FTP files, etc., although I have a lot of useful info, I
have been unable to get hold of any actual images (full-res). Can I ask
someone (Mike R.?) to upload a couple of typical flats obtained most
recently, as well as matching darks and a couple of corresponding raw sample
images in V and I? One proviso is that the sample images should be taken on
a very good night photometrically-speaking. These files may be 8Mb or so in
size, although smaller if zipped versions can be put in place, but with fast
internet connections these days, it's not a problem to downlaod these.

N.B. By getting hold of these actual images it will be possible to test out
the potential of my proposed methodology. I would then need a larger set of
images to test out further but that can wait till later.

Grateful if my request could be accommodated.

Thanks,
Richard Miles
