Attached is my latest effort at improving the scatter of the data.

For those of you that want to play too, I am working on the file 300:6:tr0

This can be found on mike in the directory /home/tom/cal_files/test/work1

The file contains all the measurements of stars in the 4 degree square
with the lower left corner of RA 300 and Dec +6 degrees.  The 300, 6 edges
are included, the 304, 10 edges are not. It is in .cal file format with
the RA and Dec positions set to 3 decimal places.  The RA and Dec
positions are set to the mean value of all the measurements.  This assures
that all of a star's measurements will either be in the square or outside
it.
