Possible Project
My own work has indicated that there are large numbers of short period (under a
day) variables (with amplitude >0.3) just waiting to be characterised.
Not just discovered, which is easy, but variables needing to have light curves
drawn up so that full details can be published.
This would seem to me to be a viable TASS project for somebody like me who
prefers data analysis and the joy of discovery to data collection.
Could for example one of the team controlling the telescopes devote some time to
monitoring the same piece of sky every 10 minutes for four hours on three nights
in a week. This would give a good idea of the scope for new discoveries.
Any thoughts?
