Detecting variables and yet another variable star survey

I have taken a number of 3 to 4 hour runs of the same piece of sky and as I
suspected there are many short period variables present in the image.

I have arranged the analysis software (Canopus) to ignore stars with an amplitude
less than 0.3 mags but even so there are dozens of good candidates in the range
0.3 to 0.9 mags with periods under a hour.
