Sorry, on the legacy OS computers this would be labeled as "fat chance".
The file does not exist and the conventions do not exist.
To solve the problem you have to build entirely new code into the
C library and force it into every system. While that may be
possible with open source systems it ain't going to be possible with
systems like UnixWare or Win2K which are beyond their upgrade period...
And before you might go running all over using over-the-hill software
I would suggest that you consider a concepts -- "if it ain't broke
don't fix it" (subsequent analysis showing it important to understand
this fine point.) (The space shuttle for instance)
