I would like to support your efforts in some way.  Since you have built
a controller, you understand the problems.  One possibility would be for
me to send you a camera and the two boards that control it.  These put
out byte parallel data.  In my case to a memory board that sits in an
ISA slot.  For you, you might want to build your own interface to the
byte parallel data.  Or you might want to build everything around a
CCD442A chip.  The camera is pretty self contained.  Look at the photos
in S&T10 and the other S&T notes.  There is a 25 pin connector that uses
ttl clock signals and dc voltages to make the clocks.  Also a TEC and
temperature read out.  I have limited time and limited energy to support
you.  Give me some ideas of what might work.
