It's Never Easy

Today we found that the chiller was not turned on for tom1 so we have
been running warm. I think no great consequence since the sky noise
dominates the temperature noise. tom1 has a peculiar problem. In the
evening the v camera is perfectly focused. In the morning the focus
turns to big blobs. Possibly a frosting problem. I will have to get up
at 3 am and look.

tom2 turned on and immediately ran off the end of the ra drive and
stuck. Going up on the roof and fussing got it unstuck just by listening
to the sound it makes. It is now tracking OK. The tom2 v camera looks
dead. Probably something is unplugged since the temperature is reading
-169 or so. tom2 I focus looks great from last year's position.

tom3 turned on and ran. The only problem seen is that it sometimes
moves in declination producing a field of double stars. The data
reduction program seems to reject these frames. Looks like we should
spend some time balancing tom3 so it does not move.

Just a normal start up.
