Subject: Mark IV survey paper has been accepted
Dear TASSophiles,
The paper describing the Mark IV survey has been accepted
by "Publications of the Astronomical Society of the Pacific."
It should appear in the December, 2006, issue. The referee had
several good suggestions to improve the paper, dealing with the
nature of the PSF and some issues involved in flatfielding.
We made small changes to the paper to address his concerns.
A version of the revised manuscript can be found in two
places:
a) on the LANL physics preprint server, at
http://arxiv.org/abs/astro-ph/0610529
b) at a special web site I set up to hold the "patches" catalog,
one of the main results of the Mark IV survey:
http://spiff.rit.edu/tass/patches/
When the detailed bibliographic information has been settled,
it will be possible to access the "patches catalog" via SIMBAD's
Vizier interface. That will probably be the best source for
most people.
Thanks very much to all who have helped throughout the
years on this project!
Michael Richmond
