Yes, but what it does not have is any identification of the physical
CD/DVD where the image is located.  I don't see any way to get this
without handling the disks.

OK, the labels I write on the disk contain a piece of the JD, the date
the run started, and the telescope.  So it would be possible to have a
data base with all the list files in it.  One could then pick up a CD,
enter the data written on it, and have the data base come up with a
serial number for that CD/DVD.  I suspect I have not been completely
consistent so some fudging would be required.  This would be somewhat
faster than actually reading the CD.

Once we have the CDs numbered then some relatively simple program could
use the list files to find on which disks desired images are stored.
