You may quality as a "federal government employee"
I do because I work for The Aerospace Corporation.
We get only about $100 off. Students can get a discount
too, but not much Amazon's tax advantage can be
a larger discount Emplyee and student discounts are
both through the Apple web site.
Apple has a refurb store on their web sit too.
But the demand for Apple computers is such that no

About the only good news is that unlike used PCs Used
Apple computers hold their price and resell at close to
the new price. even years later.
