Subject: Good News
The visit to my Oncologist on Wednesday brought some good news. My PSA
is down to 3600 from 4400 last month. For those of you that know about
PSAs this is still absurdly high. They operate to take out your
prostate when it gets to 10 or so. My Doctor has no idea why it
dropped, but it was sort of steady for several months and is now
dropping. He says keep doing what I have been doing and otherwise we
are doing nothing. I also had two units of packed blood cells a week
ago and this has made me stronger. We agreed that I should keep taking
the pepper pills which is the only thing that I am doing that might be
different. In general the scheme for treating advanced prostate cancer
is to keep doing different things. This confuses the cancer and it
stops
growing. Thus he has taken me off the Lupron treatment which controls
prostate cancer in the early stages.
All this to say I might keep taking data for a while. February data
will be up soon when I back up a few things and archive it.
