Subject: Progress
Good progress is being made in reprocessing the data to remove the
errors from the longitude entry. We have completed tom2 and tom3. tom1
is over half completed. Data for each tom will take about 3 DVDs for
storage.
I am getting a faster computer and plan on woring on the data to get it
into shape to find variable stars. We also have commissioned some
software to make this easier, and Michael Richmond has written some
additional softwere to make it easier for me to use Patrick Wills
software.
All this means that it will be possible to crank out a bunch of new
variables. The data spans nearly 5 years. This should make accurate
determination of periods possible. The bad data points no doubt made
variable searching difficult. The cleaned up data should be easier to
use.
Is anyone left here that cares?
