Sad news, indeed.  I have been working with Tom since 1995, with
his initial designs, through the Mark III with software, and
using one of his early Mark IV systems (which I am still trying
to restart).  At all stages, he was an inspiration and a fun
person to listen to.  He always tried to push the envelope and
look at things with a different viewpoint, the proper way for
a scientist to be.  He will be missed at this end!
